Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. (Luk 8:11)
And I will raise up for them a plant of renown,
and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land,
neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. (Eze 34:29)
A tree is a plant. Throughout the Word of God, people are compared to trees. The garden in Eden is described as an orchard in Eden…a planting of trees...So this plant of renown in Ezekiel seems to refer to something planted (figuratively referring to men) that serves as an appellation, mark, honor, authority, character. This "plant" or "planting" serves as food. This "plant" or "planting" serves to take away shame...click here to read Plant of Renown.
He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He. (Deu 32:4)
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. (Psa 89:14)
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?"
And I said, "I see an almond branch."
Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it." (Jer 1:11-12)
Known as the alert & watchful tree, the naked almond tree awakens from its winter slumber and clothes itself in light pink blossoms that turn white as snow before falling to the ground within 5 to 14 days. Bees deliver pollen to the blossoms. Following fertilization, firstfruits begin to hastily emerge from the calyx and reach their maximum size over a course of several weeks. During this first harvest, a few firstfruits are chosen (about 1%); most remain on the tree to mature in the summer heat. The flesh of the fruit withers in the summer heat and exposes the seed inside that we know as the almond.

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD...but with righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth...
Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins. (Isa 11:1-5)

Our Heavenly Father has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and He has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty. We are not wise by human standards, neither influential, neither scholarly and we certainly acknowledge that there is far more that we do not understand than what we do understand. Through prayer and study, we share these gleanings in the hopes that you will diligently search the Scriptures to see if it is true - as did those in Berea. In doing so, may we be set free from any traditions or doctrines of man which keep us in darkness.
